Elfreds Zahtar

Zahtar is a popular condiment used in Iran and Turkey. It is a blend of sumac, dried sage and toasted sesame seeds.  Mixed with sliced or diced onion it makes a great appetiser. It can be used to coat your Fish, Chicken or Lamb before grilling or frying. Try it sprinkled on to your steamed or roasted vegetables. You can also use it to make a nice Zahtar Pizza when sprinkled on to fresh pizza dough and drizzled with olive oil.
